The University of Advancing Computer Technology’s new
48,251 square foot masonry building provides much
needed instruction space. This new space includes lecture rooms and an intricate network of computer systems.
The design required Sun State Builders to consult with various speciality engineers and vendors, and coordinate complicated mechanical, electrical, and computer system installations.
Due to the academic calendar, Sun State Builders faced a
rigorous construction schedule for completion of the building
before the start of the next semester.
Known as The CAD Institute up until 1997, the University
of Advancing Computer Technology has been providing
Computer Aided Drafting and Design and Virtual Reality
systems training for more than 14 years.
The project was awarded the City of Tempe’s 1999
Beautification Award.
