11,000 Square Foot Office Building
Architect: Butler Design Group
With offices in Denver, Colorado, Austin, Texas, and Arizona, Paul*Koehler is one of the top structural engineering firms in the commercial industry.
This new 11,000 square foot facility in Scottsdale was designed to have a raw industrial look. The interior side of the roof is completely exposed allowing one to see the large custom trusses that were designed specifically for this building. Galvanized metal ducts were used for the HVAC system along with red round diffusers.
On the entry level of this tri-level building are the reception area, conference room, breakroom and restrooms.
The executive offices are located on the 2,200 square foot mezzanine that overlooks the whole facility. The mezzanine was designed with a guardrail made of angle iron, rectangular tube steel, and stainless steel cables.
The main production floor was recessed four feet into the ground creating the tri-level effect. A masonry ramp was created for ADA access into this area. Primered steel, MDF board, sheet metal, and stained concrete floors were just some of the finishes used to achieve the industrial look for this facility.
